Persistence

I am sitting here in my Team Canada shirt, hoarse from cheering on our Canadian Women’s Soccer Team, and thinking about persistence. Not unlike the lone, persistent Jack Pine perched atop of this rugged Northern Ontario landscape, our team of valiant, persistent footballers just played the game of their lives! I have had this post queued up for several weeks now, wanting to share with you some of my snaps taken on the recent Manitoulin Adventure, but my rabid Olympics watching has gotten in the way. But not today! Somehow this one shot of trees growing where none should, reminds us not only of the rugged beauty of our Canadian landscape, but of the hardy, HEARTY Canadian spirit that springs from such a dramatic home soil. Go Canada!!
